Standard AC & Furnace Options

A great option for those in older homes or houses that have natural gas or propane is the standard Air Conditioner and Furnace Split System. This option provides cooling for your home using electricity and heating by burning either natural gas or propane. This is the best option for guaranteed heating no matter how cold the outside temps get to be.

Standard Heat Pump Options

If you’re home is all-electric, or you’re looking to convert to an all-electric home, Heat Pumps may be a great option for you. Heat Pumps use electricity to both cool and efficiently heat your home. These options use new and advancing technology to get the best efficiencies and energy cost savings for your home. These options may also qualify you for tax incentives and rebates.

Geo-Thermal Heat Pumps

By far the most efficient system readily available to homeowners is the Geothermal heat pump. This system uses the thermal energy available in the ground to provide ultra-high efficiency heating and cooling to your home. Although this system has a higher up-front installation cost for new systems, it typically pays for itself in the long run with the energy savings. These systems also quality for the best tax incentives and rebates.

Mini-Splits

A great option for your spare rooms, sunrooms, garages, or additions is a mini-split heat pump. Mini-splits use the same great heat pump technology to heat and cool your space. What makes these systems great is their versatility of installation options and different types of indoor units. This allows them to fit in virtually any space.

Multi-Zone Mini-Splits

Multi-zone mini-splits give you all the same benefits of a mini-split (the efficiency, the installation versatility, and more) and gives you the ability to get zoned control in your home. Multi-zone mini-splits are a great way to have different temperatures in different zones of your home.

Air-To-Water Heat Pumps

ERV’s and IAQ

Whether it was COVID or just the growth in caution in general, I think we’re all aware of how much focus has been put on clean air over the past several years. This general concern for cleaner air is usually referred to as ‘Indoor Air Quality’ or IAW for short. Installing an Energy Recovery Ventilator or other dedicated IAQ piece of equipment to give your house that extra layer of protection can be a great way to reduce airborne germs, reduce stuffiness, and provide you with overall cleaner air.

Energy Recovery Ventilators

Energy Recovery Ventilators are arguably the best first-choice when working on your home’s IAQ. These small devices can be installed in the attic or in a small corner of a mechanical room. They utilize low-noise fans to bring in fresh air from outside, and send out ‘dirty’ air from inside. Then, with the help of the low-maintenance energy core, they can pre-condition the fresh air being brought in by recovering some of the heating or cooling from the ‘dirty’ air that is being sent out.

Whole-Home Humidifiers, Dehumidifier, and Air Cleaners

A whole-house humidifier or dehumidifier can be a great addition to your overall comfort and air quality. In our area and climate, there are certainly times throughout the year when our home could benefit from both options. A dehumidifier in the summer can help the air inside feel less sticky and actually reduce overall energy costs by helping you stay comfortable at higher temperatures. Additionally, a humidifier can help in the winter when the air gets extra dry and prevent dry hands and sore throats.

HVAC Control & Zoning

As technology advances, the options for control of our home comfort and HVAC increases. Devices like smart thermostats and intelligent zoning vents can be great options for more control of your spaces.

Smart Thermostats

Smart Thermostats are a great first addition to any home control and comfort. These thermostats can connect to your home Wi-Fi network and give you the option to schedule your heating and cooling system to run only when you need it. This can help you attain better comfort while also saving you on energy costs.

Flair Whole-House Zoning

Does your house have cold or warm rooms? This is often caused by outside factors like extra sun heat through windows or running an oven or other appliance. While we can’t account for all those things, we can make huge strides towards more customized comfort with our Flair HVAC Zoning System. As an authorized Flair dealer and installer, we can build out an HVAC zoning system for your house that can help balance out warm and cold spots, and also give you more customized comfort across your home.
